Winter Wonderland
This is what I call proper snow. But it's just nice for a visit... This was taken near the German border in the Czech Republic.

Lake Steinhude
Everywhere else in Germany was lovely sunshine and we picked the one area where it looked like this...
You could barely see the other side through the mist.
I'm sure it is very pittoresque when the sun is shining.
On our way around the lake we came past a field of rape. Even without the sun highlighting it, it almost shines by itself.Gartenfest in Wilhelmsthal Palace
Our annual Gartenfest is a very popular venue where you can buy everything and more around gardening. Mainly flowers, plants, spices, tools, furniture, but also loads of ornaments...
Extremly colourful...
cute and romantic...
weathered iron is very popular over here
straight from the arabien nights – probably birdfeeders
I'd love to have a wisteria in my garden...Samstag, 1. Mai 2010

A walk in the park
This grey goose was quite interested in my camera. And I wasn't quite sure, if she'd turn round and snap at me.
The rhododendrons just start to blossom. It has been to cold for too long.
Not a very sharp close up...
Same plant in white.
The white ones look pinkish when they haven't opened up.
Trees growing close to a pond look very photogenic.
That duck was to fast for me. When I finally kept up with it, it had its eyes closed. But it still looks pretty.
Racoons are not very much appreciated over here, but this one does look cute.
Bit to dark this picture but it's still quite nice.
Castle Wilhelmshoehe in the lovely park around it.
